VOR Rewind – A Nation in the Hands of an Angry God

Looking back to earlier this year, when Chris and Rich discussed how even well-intended online discussions can fan the flames of an angry people.  Not only what topics we choose to engage but how we address these issues can inadvertently add fuel to the fire.  As Christians, even in matters of important doctrinal issues, we must treat others as creations in the image and likeness of God, showing grace and mercy as God has been merciful to us.  In this episode, they also ask the listeners to take time to pray that God would pour out His mercy on our nation.

Blessings brothers. Thank you for that prayer of repentance and intercession for our nation. I appreciated you mention the sins of the left and the sin of anger from the right. But you miss a precious opportunity to pray for racism. A sin of our nation and at the core of the problem. Blessings. I love your podcast.

Thank you for your kind words, Hector. I will say, though, if you have listened to our program for any length of time, you know we would dispute the concept that racism is a national sin and the core of our problems in America. While racism does exist, we simply disagree that systemic racism as described by Critical Race Theory exists. Therefore, while we will always decry actual acts of racism and preach repentance and faith to those who act on racist ideologies, we will not speak to or accept the idea that the core problem in America is that the entire country and all its people (of a certain ethnicity) are racist. Again, thank you for your listening and your kind comments. They are greatly appreciated.
